• Do not rely on the safety catch
• Rinse with fresh water after every use to remove all sand and seawater
• Keep rubbers in the freezer if not using them for long periods to slow down the perishing process
• Remove spear when cleaning and dry thoroughly before storing
• Store in a speargun bag if possible
• Keep in a dry and safe place
